Witnesham Pre-School
Under new management and now taking children from 0-5 years.
About Us
Witnesham Pre-School is a small committee run preschool in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The Pre-School opened in 1974 and is situated in the grounds of Witnesham Primary School. We take children from 0-5 years and now have a separate under 2's area and sleeping room.
Our aim is to create a warm, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn through play. The children have access to a welcoming indoor space with a range of toys and equipment to enhance their learning.
We also have a large outdoor space where the children can enjoy a range of outdoor activities such as playing in the mud kitchen, using the ride on toys and exploring the climbing equipment. We also have vegetable patches which the children love to help plant, harvest and eat what we produce.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) to ensure the children can explore all areas of learning.
These areas are: Personal, social and emotional, physical, communication and language, literature, maths and understanding the world.
The pre-school is open each weekday during term time, from 8.00am to 3.00pm.

This term we have done lots of fun and exciting activities such as going on nature walks, visiting the library bus, visiting a farm and a pumpkin patch. We are working closely with Witnesham Primary school and we join in as many activities as we can with them such as Gardening on a Monday afternoon, story time in the library and joining in with outdoor learning lessons. Also we go to move up days and assemblies for the children who are starting school in September.
